• Use benchmarks and key assumptions to develop 3-5 Year Business Plan to allow for EBITDA scenario planning
• Recruit, hire, and onboard a permanent CFO
• Assist with ERP and CRM selection, implementation and migration
• Maximize supporting software modules for efficient transaction processing
• Increase company valuation and EBITDA multiple for stakeholders
• Explore debt refinancing
• Evaluate and optimize operations for future growth
• Facilitate annual strategic planning sessions
• Review organizational design to align with goals in preparation for change
• Evaluate internal controls and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• Evaluate Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), and where applicable contract with third-party companies to perform business functions not core to operations
• Environmental Social Governance (ESG) assessment and road map
• Look for opportunities to raise capital through available loans, grants or other funding
Reporting & Modeling (FP&A)
• Create balance sheet reconciliations
• Implement Power BI tools and reports
• Develop weekly, monthly or quarterly dashboards and KPI reports
• Create or refine monthly and quarterly financial reporting board packages
• Develop monthly rolling forecasting model to include variance analysis for revenue, expenses, and profitability
• Develop annual P&L, balance sheet and cash flow budgets including variance reporting at a product/service and department level
• Develop and integrate pricing strategy model
• Develop cash flow projection model to include capital assessment, increase of receivables, reduction of payables and maximizing inventory levels
• Create Return on Investment (ROI) models for project and fixed asset evaluations
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
• Develop assessment to influence EBITDA expansion through increased product/service revenue and reduction of operating expenses
• Define process improvement tasks needed for growth
• Build relationships with current or future Private Equity (PE) firms
• Right-size the finance organization needed for support
• Lead due diligence process - both buy and sell side
• Provide support during internal or external financial audits
• Review and rationalize trial balances and general ledger accounts
• Represent organization on sell-side during recapitalization events
• Work with Investment Bankers to develop Customer Information Memorandum
• Develop target assessment models (buy & sell)
• Business plan development with exit strategy scenarios
• Post-Transaction training, integration and support
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
